Ferrari has reportedly reached its annual sales target for the Luce, the first fully electricFerrari’s first fully electric production car, the Ferrari Luce, has reportedly achieved its initial 2026 sales target in less than two months after its official launch, marking a strong early milestone for the Italian luxury automaker as it enters the electric vehicle market.

According to Reuters, citing a report from the Financial Times, Ferrari had planned to sell just under 500 units of the Luce during 2026. However, the company reportedly reached that figure within two months of the car’s unveiling on May 25, driven by strong customer demand, particularly in China.

The achievement represents an important step for Ferrari, a brand historically known for high-performance combustion engines, high-revving powertrains, and iconic exhaust sounds. The Luce signals a major shift in Ferrari’s strategy as it embraces electric mobility while aiming to preserve the performance and exclusivity expected from the brand.

Ferrari has not officially commented on the reported sales figures but previously confirmed that it would provide an update on market reception for its first electric model alongside its financial results for the first half of the year.

The Ferrari Luce delivers 1,050 horsepower and combines the performance characteristics of a modern Ferrari with a fully electric powertrain. Unlike many traditional Ferrari sports cars, the Luce features four doors, five seats, and a more practical interior layout designed for everyday usability.

With a starting price of around €550,000 (approximately $626,000), the Luce positions itself among the most exclusive electric vehicles in the world. Its design has attracted mixed reactions, with some enthusiasts praising its futuristic approach while others criticize its departure from Ferrari’s traditional styling identity.

The vehicle’s design direction has reportedly been influenced by former Apple designers Jony Ive and Marc Newson, contributing to its distinctive exterior appearance and modern character.

Despite debates surrounding its styling and electric technology, the rapid achievement of Ferrari’s sales goal highlights strong interest among luxury car buyers and suggests that many Ferrari customers are ready to embrace the brand’s transition into the electric era.

The Luce represents not only a new model for Ferrari but also a significant moment in the evolution of high-performance electric vehicles, proving that heritage brands can adapt while maintaining their focus on exclusivity and performance.
